The Outsider

produced by Shadow Morton

This album was recorded in 1976 on RCA Victor Records and is out for the first time on CD. This album is a science fiction alternative country album backed up by Kris Kristofferson's back-up band at that time, plus other stars like Doug Dillard. John Hartford and Red Rhodes, who once went on the road with Hank Williams, playing pedal steel. "The Outsider" was one of Gene Clark of The Byrds, very favorite albums. It's also the album that got me fired from RCA because the executives there thought it was too weird. Me, Guy Clark and Steve Young all got dropped at the same time by the same executives.
